YORK CC embark on another League and Cup double-header this weekend, but this time without captain Marcus Wood.
After straining a thigh, Wood takes a precautionary rest with Nick Kay leading the side to Rotherham tomorrow and teenage all-rounder Duncan Snell replacing Wood.
Kay will be looking for a convincing victory as the Clifton Parkers' rain-affected match last Monday cost them the Yorkshire League leadership. They are now third, two points behind leaders Harrogate.
York entertain Beverley in the second round of the Cockspur National KO Cup on Sunday.
Andy Kay comes in for Aussie Michael Sheedy who is ineligible for he 45-overs per side match (1pm start).
