AS people do tend to have short memories when it comes to politics I would like to remind them that a short while ago Labour candidate Hugh Bayley was bending over backwards to be seen with the anti-Iraq war lobby.
I remember seeing a nice picture of him in the paper marching with students at the head of the anti-war march in York and being very vocal in his anti-war stance.
Surprise, surprise, three weeks later Mr Bayley slavishly followed the party line and voted for the war.
Ask yourself this: can you really trust this man's opinions and his integrity? I think not.
