I OBJECT strongly to Ian Naylor's comment in his letter "Why Mostly Autumn get my vote..." (April 22).
I appreciate he criticises you about lack of press coverage of Mostly Autumn's album launch in London, but he also implies The Yards do not deserve the title of "York's highest profile band" because of their album launch at the Post Office Club in Marygate.
The Marygate gig was only the York album launch, and the London version was on April 20 at the Rendition in Parker Place hosted by a top DJ and three other bands supporting
This is a great example of a top York band not getting grand ideas, but letting their own local fans experience an album launch event at a cheap price in their own city.
They do not deserve demeaning comments for doing so.
