ARCHBISHOP Holgate's Under-12s rounded off an illustrious season with an unprecedented third piece of silverware after going the whole season undefeated.
The Year Seven team bagged the first trophy for their league exploits before adding a share of the York Schools FA cup and then winning the league play-off.
Last Monday's cup final at KitKat Crescent against Millthorpe School ended in a 1-1 draw with Adam Thornton on target leading to the cup being shared.
But the treble was completed last Wednesday at the York City training ground as they snatched a last-minute winner against Fulford in the play-off final.
Josh Barratt opened the scoring midway through the first half in what was, as both teams agreed, a one-sided affair.
But Fulford's Toby Williams popped up with a goal with five minutes to go to level the tie and set up a frantic last few minutes which ended with a Jonathan Andrews winner deep into injury time.
New tactics helped spur Canon Lee on to a 5-0 U14s cup final win over Archbishop Holgate.
Three defenders hit the back of the net to highlight the success of the new wing-back formation which has also led to them keeping several clean sheets - with the help of keeper Scott Sullivan.
Darren Henderson, Kayle Stannard, Reece Chappelow, Ben Johnson and Fraser Shields were all on the score sheet in the one-sided final at KitKat Crescent last Monday.
Head of PE Geoff Snow said: "It was a bit of a surprise to win by that many because it was a final, but we played good football to feet and earned it."
A Beckham-esque free-kick by Jack Webster set Sherburn High School on their way to U15 cup final glory at York City's training ground.
Sherburn just edged Manor School 3-2 in a game described by Manor head of PE Dave Crane as a 'great advert for schools football' with passing and moving at the forefront and foul play non-existent.
Webster, the youngest brother of City's teenage star Byron, struck after just ten minutes to put Sherburn ahead.
Jamie Williamson put Manor back on level terms, but Jamie Potter restored Sherburn's lead a minute into the second half. Skipper Craig Limbert then bundled a high ball over the line that had foxed the Manor keeper to stretch it to 3-1 before Glenn Thompson scored a late consolation.
Tadcaster Grammar U16s continued their winning theme of last year after beating Fulford 4-2 in the York and District Schools Cup final at KitKat Crescent.
Two goals from David Brown added to singles by Daniel Phillis and Jack Scott saw Tadcaster beat Fulford for the second time in as many years and add another honour to the team's catalogue.
Last season saw them take the league and cup double along with the North Yorkshire County Cup.
A stoppage time winner gave Lady Lumley's the Scarborough & District Year 11 School Cup after a nailbiting match against Scalby.
The Pickering side went ahead courtesy of a Jay Brown header. Scalby equalised two minutes from time but Jonny Wilson broke clear and his deflected shot gave Lumley's victory despite an immediate equaliser being ruled out for offside.
