THIS youngster has won £700 worth of sports equipment for his York school.
John Bamford, from Strensall, has won the equipment as part of Sainsbury's Active Kids scheme for his school, St Wilfrid's RC Primary, in York.
John and his classmates will be having fun in PE with their newly-acquired equipment, including agility ladders, hula hoops, foam Frisbees and monster trax - giant foam feet which help with co-ordination and balance.
He won the equipment after entering a free-prize draw organised at the Active Kids road show at Sainsbury's Monks Cross store, in Huntington, York.
Store manager Rob Brooks said: "We really hope all the kids at St Wilfrid's School really enjoy having fun with their new kit."
