FRIENDS of a woman who drove a library bus to traveller sites around York have donated books to create "a living memorial" in her name.
Rachel Copus who was 43 when she died in 2003, was a dedicated member of the York Local Exchange Trading System (LETS) which enables people to exchange skills and services without cash changing hands.
Rachel is remembered for the commitment and energy she brought to the voluntary, non-profit-making association. John Cossham, of YorkLETS, said books on a variety of subjects were given to Tang Hall Library.
An inquest last year heard that Rachel committed suicide at her home in Millfield Lane, York. She had a history of mental illness.
