A NEW exhibition of abstract paintings will has arrived at York Minster.
The Hidden Mystery, by Jerry Scott, of Stillingfleet, is an expression of Christian faith and includes a selection of inspirational texts and poems.
Jerry has been exhibited all over the country and took part in York Open Studios in March.
He said: "For me, God is an infinite and impenetrable mystery, who we have special access to through Christ. These paintings are personal expressions of my faith, but you don't have to be a religious person to enjoy them. The colours I use are rich and harmonious, and many people find their spirits are uplifted when viewing them."
Jerry's exhibition will be in the North Transept of the Minster until Monday, May 30.
