I AGREE with David Quarrie that there should be men-only checkouts at supermarkets (Letters, April 22). The only trouble is that women would still be in front of you doing the handbag/purse-fumble for change routine when you caught a bus etc.
Jayne Baker complains about the miserable faces of men in supermarkets (Letters, April 26). Perhaps this is because of the amount of their money their wives/partners are spending.
