YOUNG Masters were to the fore at Fulford GC, where nine juniors won their silver status.
The budding Tigers of the future had all come through the Young Masters Golf programme starting from cadet and bronze status to gaining their silver certificates. As part of that distinction they have now joined the club as juniors after being given a preferential arrangement whereby their first year subscriptions amount to just £25.
Fulford assistant professional Jamie Ashworth was delighted by the progress of the renowned nine of Josh Plaxton, Ben Hirst, Jonathan Nield, Elliott Murphy, Jason Lawn, Charlie Hirst, George Forder, Zak Kent and Joe Brown.
Enthused Ashworth: "It's been good to see them progress from beginners to be good enough now to join the club."
