A TRIO of Yorkshire food and drink specialists, Shepherds Purse cheeses, Playford Ros wine merchants and Masham's Black Sheep Brewery, are joining forces to launch the first Taste Of Yorkshire workshop.
The workshop, on the Thursday, June 23, at 7pm, at Shepherds Purse Cheeses, Leachfield Grange, Newsham, near Thirsk, will herald a series of events to give food and drink enthusiasts the chance to take part in informal, tutored tastings of fine wines, cheeses and beers which are made in the region.
Judy Bell, chief executive of Shepherds Purse Cheeses, said: "The inspiration for the workshop came from the growing interest in regional food and drink and the provenance and traceability of the food we eat, which has led to a greater appreciation and pride in regional produce.
The workshops will give people the chance to sample and learn about high quality Yorkshire food and drink."
Tickets for the Taste of Yorkshire workshop at £25 can be bought by phoning 01845 587220 or by visiting www.playfordros.com
