WARNING stickers saying "Lock up your daughters" should be put on the record sleeve.
The Glitterati are the type of group that give protective dads heart failure when they arrive in town to play. They have resurrected the sleazy, whiskey-swilling rock that made the likes of Aerosmith and Guns N' Roses millions. In fact, Mike Clink, who produced the Roses' Appetite For Destruction album, was at the controls in Los Angeles for the recording sessions.
The Leeds five-piece generate a tight, powerful sound complemented by some filthy riffs and an ear-splitting vocal by Paul Gautrey. The anthemic Back In Power rises above the mediocrity, chronicling excessive backstage antics, while the catchy lament of Don't Do Romance is a warning to clingy groupies.
