Heworth won the York FA Intermediate Under 14 Minor Cup final 1-0 after Pocklington Town goalkeeper James Drewery could only help a Ben Eve cross into his own goal.
Ash Newton crashed a shot against the bar with Heworth goalkeeper Scott Pallister well beaten as Pocklington searched for a late leveller.
Meanwhile, Dringhouses Reserves became the first York FA Cup final winners when they beat Sheriff Hutton 6-2 to lift the Saturday Junior Cup at Nestl Rowntree.
A Wayne Carter tap-in and spectacular long-range strikes from Gary Briggs and Andy Barkway saw Dringhouses race 3-0 up after just 12 minutes.
Ross Moynihan pulled a goal back for Hutton but Steve Cross scored direct from a corner to send Dringhouses in at the interval 4-1 in front.
A James Backhouse effort and Darren Smith's solo goal then secured victory with Dale Phillips replying from the spot.
