POCKLINGTON RUFC completed their season with a 19-16 win at Heath.
The Percy Roaders scored three tries of the highest quality in the first period but had a few anxious moments late on as Heath staged a determined comeback.
Pocklington opened the scoring with a sweeping 80 yard move involving all their backs before centre Sandy Mitchell dived over.
The visitors continued to look dangerous and more good back play brought tries for wing brothers Harry and Sam Allen, both converted by Kevin Bowling.
But Heath kept in the game thanks to some long range goal-kicking which brought them three penalties. When they scored after a kick and chase midway through the second half the match was in the melting pot.
A Nick Bennett score was controversially ruled out by the home linesman's flag and Bowling hit a post with a penalty.
Heath attacked late on in a desperate attempt to escape relegation but Pocklington held on to finish third in the Yorkshire Two table.
