SPORTS fans in York could be forgiven for feeling light headed. Not one but two triumphs - in the same weekend.
Top honours go to York Knights whose sensational 74-12 hammering of previously undefeated Dewsbury ranks as a victory so stunning no one in the 2,056-strong crowd could quite believe it.
A same-strength crowd - minus one - saw York City wrap up a desperately lacklustre season with their first 4-0 home win in more than ten years. This victory so inspired the long-suffering fans that they were moved to an ovation.
If the phrase "about time too" hovered in their minds, that is only understandable.
