HEADLINES from the Evening Press were shouted out on the streets of York as part of a "fraught and frantic" St George's Day challenge.
BBC Radio York listener Pascha Turnbull was chosen to take part in the weekly challenge Dare You Do It With Dougie? on the Anna Walker Saturday Show where she was given three challenges to complete in return for a mystery prize.
Pascha, who entered the challenge to promote the Rowntree Musical Theatre's upcoming production of Little Shop Of Horrors, had to find a man called George, in honour of St George, and she had to proclaim the day's news from the city's newspaper.
Standing in King's Square, next to the Evening Press's Win A Car competition stand, Pascha shouted out highlights from our page three article on "t George's Day.
Pascha said afterwards: "It's been fraught and frantic, but great fun. I've had a mixed reaction from people, but it's been a real giggle."
Pascha then headed off to the Mansion House to complete her third challenge, to find town crier John Redpath and proclaim that it was St George's Day to passers by.
