Sheriff Hutton jockey Kevin Darley is clearly intent on rattling-up as many winners as he possibily can this season and his 'have-saddle-will-travel' policy is plainly evident as this week unfolds.
In action at Hamilton, near Glasgow, this afternoon, he will be journeying far south to Bath tomorrow and can be rewarded with a win in the feature race on the card.
Darley teams-up with Paradise Isle, trained by Chris Wall at Newmarket, in the £30,000 EBF Lansdowne Fillies' Listed Stakes over five furlongs.
A useful and progressive sprinter last season, Paradise Isle included wins at Ascot's Shergar Cup meeting and at Newmarket in October, with Darley in the saddle, on her impressive scoresheet.
The type to do well again this year, Paradise Isle can carry on the good work tomorrow by making a triumphant reappearance and reward her long-distance jockey for his travelling.
Sir Michael Stoute, who will be strongly represented in both the 1,000 and 2,000 Guineas on his home course at Newmarket next weekend, has good prospects of confirming the well-being of his team, courtesy of Kingdom Of Dreams in the Saltwell Signs Maiden Stakes.
This beautifully-bred colt showed signs of ability in his only outing as a juvenile and looks the type to come firmly into his own this year. Ryan Moore has the mount.
Sir Michael intends to saddle both Shanghai Lily and Echelon in the 1,000 Guineas, and Rob Roy in the 2,000.
Royal Power can oblige for Mick Channon in the M J Church Maiden Auction Stakes. The two-year-old showed promise on his debut at Nottingham earlier this month, finishing third to Lyrical Blues. That experience should stand him in good stead this time in the hands of Ted Durcan.
At Southwell, Accomplish is napped to open her account by winning the Pantry Maiden Stakes over a mile.
This William Haggas-trained filly showed signs of talent when finishing third on her racecourse debut at Warwick four weeks ago. Certain to be wiser now, she should be up to landing this modest event. Tom Queally again has the mount.
Legal Set goes for a quick double in the Book Tickets On-Line Handicap over six furlongs. Trained at Richmond, North Yorkshire by Anne Stokell, Legal Set stormed home at Catterick last week.
