WE are sure the many objectors to the closure of a public right of way will have welcomed the planning committee's overwhelming rejection of the case put forward by St Peter's School.
We have always maintained the evidence put forward by the school and the police could not possibly justify the case for closure, and the committee agreed with us.
If the school decides to appeal against this decision, which they cannot do for some months because the legislation is not in place to allow them to do so, we expect this would lead to a public inquiry.
If this took place it would allow us to cross-examine in public all those involved. Our thanks to all those who supported our campaign. We may need you later.
