Heworth ARLC Under-16s travel to Hull tomorrow for the Yorkshire Youth Combination League division two play-off final after beating local rivals York Acorn 24-6 in the semi-finals.
Chris Peace and Ben Potter crossed to send Heworth into an 8-0 lead. Peace added another half the interval, followed by one for Danny Allan.
Acorn ran in one of their own but Heworth had the last say as man-of-the-match Speck forced a close range try to seal the match, Potter and Allan both adding goals.
Heworth travel to the Boulevard in Hull to play league winners Myton Warriors in the final (ko noon).
Heworth U9s' try-scorers in defeat against Scarborough were man of the match Jack Garritty (2), Joseph Jackson, Daniel Simpson and James Dunhill. Twins Michael and Connor Hinds were top tacklers and Ross Waddell was the most improved player.
