THE Leeper Hare York and District Football League division two title race is still a long way from being decided.
Leaders Tockwith moved six points clear after beating Barmby Moor 4-0 in midweek. But second-placed Heslington, who have three games in hand, snatched a last minute equaliser at White Horse to draw 3-3. Lenny Mason twice scored for White Horse.
Poppleton are still looking for that single point to ensure their safety after losing 2-0 at home to ten-man Elvington, whose goals from Andy Foster and Luke Dove made it four straight away wins.
Tomorrow's York FA Cup finalists Sheriff Hutton need just two points from their remaining three games to clinch the division three championship after hammering Cawood 7-0.
Ross Moyniham, who hit eight goals against Cawood earlier in the season, collected another hat-trick with the other goals coming from Kevin Butler (2), Dale Phillips and Gary Newton.
Nick Hutchinson took his personal tally for the season to 53 goals as he hit four as York RI hammered Bishop Wilton 5-2. Dave Burrows and Adrian Stanforth replied for the hosts while Darren Sellars hit RI's fifth.
Two goals from Heworth's Dan Walton set up a 5-0 win at Wheldrake with their other goals coming from Nick Flanagan, Ian Walbridge and Jamie Allerton.
Dringhouses Reserves retained the Reserve 'A' championship after beating Huntington 4-0 in their final game of the season with goals from Shaun Laverack, Andy Barkway, Craig Atkinson and a Jamie Bonarious lob.
