THE minister thought she was popping in for a routine check-up.
Rosie Winterton was sure her policies were sound and that the doctor would pass her with flying colours.
Instead Dr David Fair of Jorvik Medical Practice gave her a thorough examination.
He found that New Labour's medical commitments were anaemic and its desire to meddle in GPs' affairs positively unhealthy.
Ms Winterton left the surgery looking a little peaky.
Perhaps someone should test her blood pressure?
