I WAS sorry to read the letter from Mildred Baker about the changes to the Dial and Ride service (April 20).
York Wheels is operating the service on behalf of the council using the new routes set out by the council and is not responsible for alterations to the routes.
The service has expanded to operate five days a week and this has entailed changes to some routes.
York Wheels has received complaints about the particular journey referred to by Ms Baker. We understand the morning journey to the supermarket now clashes with another local event held on the same morning and some customers prefer the previous supermarket destination to the present one.
York Wheels is collating all customers' comments and referring them to the council's transport planning department to ensure these views are taken into account when the new service is reviewed.
Chair, York Wheels,
Chaucer Street,
York.
