YORK City reserves will complete their Pontins League programme tonight with a home game against Halifax.
Kick off is at 7pm and the game will provide certain fringe players with one last chance to impress first-team manager Billy McEwan before he decides on his retained list for next season.
The reserves will also be hoping to complete a decent second half to their season which has seen just one league defeat -- at Doncaster Rovers -- in seven matches since the turn of the year.
A team has not yet been announced but senior players Chris Porter, Sean Davies, Shaun Smith, Michael Staley and Paul Robinson are all likely to figure.
Six weeks ago, it was feared that this fixture could have been City's last league outing as a reserve team.
But the efforts of supporters and local businesses raised the £10,000 necessary to ensure the Minstermen's Pontins League presence for at least another season.
