NOT content with wanting to close ancient rights of way, St Peter's School, York, now proposes the abolition of residents' parking for the whole of one side of Queen Anne's Road and North Parade.
This to increase accessibility for vehicles visiting St Olave's School including lorries and site traffic and so forth, along with an already horrific school run. This will result in the loss of about half of the now available parking spaces.
While having to endure extra noise, filth and nuisance, where do they propose residents paying £84 a year for the privilege of parking within the vicinity of their home, leave their vehicles? There is no alternative.
How much more misery can St Peter's impose upon the people of this once-quiet Victorian cul-de-sac? How much more upheaval do we have to endure so St Peter's can fulfil it's egocentric avariciousness?
