New Earswick All Blacks ARL Club have the end of the season in sight but cannot afford to lose focus in the last two games with maximum points required to guarantee promotion.
The All Blacks take on lowly Elland in the penultimate Pennine League division two match of the campaign and a win is essential to keep them on track for promotion and the league title with points difference disregarded in the event of a tie.
Stand-off Mark Green is definitely out - and may have played his last game of the season - after getting hit with a head injury against Ovenden, and Dan Wellard is unavailable.
But slotting into the centre will be skipper Jez Petch, who is finally ready to come back after an ankle injury.
Back Paul Dooley could also be in if he passes a fitness test on a shoulder problem.
Coach Simon Baynes said: "We have got to win our last two games because in this league, if we all finish on the same points, they don't consider goal difference. It's a shame because we have a vastly superior points difference to all the others so we have to take nothing for granted."
The 2.30pm kick-off is the last game at White Rose Avenue of a long campaign and Baynes expressed his massive appreciation of the support they have had throughout the season, with another sizeable crowd expected on Saturday.
National Conference sides York Acorn and Heworth are without a game this weekend.
Double-chasing New Earswick Under-12s have followed their Yorkshire Junior League division three title by securing a place in the Yorkshire Cup final.
Most improved player Joe Dey scored two tries from the wing as they beat Dudley Hill, who play in a division above, 24-16 in the last four to book a final meeting with Dewsbury Celtic.
Stand-off Adam Johnson was a constant thorn in Dudley Hill's side, while further tries came from Tom Barron, Connor Thirlway and substitute Louis Pool, and man of the match Dean Layton added two goals.
York Acorn U13s were unable to come back from an early 16-point deficit as they lost 30-14 to Dudley Hill at Thanet Road.
Tries came from Tyler Dawson, Stuart Leeke and Josh Peacock, with Ricky James adding a conversion, but the visitors benefited from basic errors to take the spoils. Man of the match for Acorn was Mathew Woods.
Matty Gell scored a hat-trick as New Earswick U13s hammered Oulton Raiders 62-4.
York City Knights scholar Gell got the first try within seconds of the kick off and All Blacks went on to dominate. Leigh Garside, most improved player Marcus Stannard and Kyle Lowson scored two tries each, Ben Wynne scored his first of the season and Adam Smith, top tackler Chris Chaplin and Dan Perkins also crossed. Knights' scholars Dan Perkins and Josh Evans added convesions.
Jacob Maddison and Tom Holmes scored two tries apiece as New Earswick U11s won their final away game of the season 24-18 at Milford.
Andrew Scriven put in a great tackling display, half-backs Sean Malarkey and David Hayes caused problems for the home defence and Liam Davidson ran strongly. Mike Wharram kicked three goals and Malarkey one.
