TWO emphatic victories have put Dringhouses within 90 minutes of capturing the Leeper Hare York and District League Reserve 'A' crown.

If Dringhouses despatch visiting Huntington Rovers tonight then they will have won the 'A'-title for the sixth successive season.

A 5-1 win over Old Malton set them on their way. Wayne Carter and Jamie Barker struck before Old Malton hit back in the 75th-minute with a Nicky Drew penalty. But then in the last 12 minutes two goals from Lee Atkinson and a Craig McShane effort wrapped up the nap hand.

Dringhouses then went back to the top after beating a young Kartiers' outfit 3-0 by virtue of a 'B' route.

Jamie Bonarious, Jamie Backhouse and Andy Barkway were the hosts' marksmen to set up tonight's title tilt.

St John's College's poor end of season form continued as they slipped to their third defeat in a row, beaten 6-3 at home by Huntington despite a first half hat-trick from leading scorer Robin Bedford.

Huntington moved off the bottom thanks to goals from Graham McDonald (2), Pete Laidlaw (2), Chris Dower and Lee Jackson.

New Earswick finished the season on a high by ending Copmanthorpe's seven-match unbeaten run, with goals from Paul Peak and Stuart Reed. Josh Levitt replied.

The final fixture in Reserve 'B' finished all square, hosts Easingwold sharing four goals with Bishopthorpe. Gary Raper (pen) and Ian Hardisty were on target for Easingwold.

Unbeaten Reserve 'C' champions Hamilton Panthers received their trophy before their game with Wilberfoss and celebrated with a 4-1 win with goals from Jamie Daw, Danny Carr, Brad Dunn and Steve Gagen. Mark Hughes hit Wilberfoss' lone reply.

Rufforth stretched their unbeaten run to 12 games after winning 6-1 at White Horse. On target were Liam Stilgoe, Luke Baines, Andy Lovii (2), Jamie Fletcher, and Graham Rae.

A Danny Kelly hat-trick set up Heslington's 3-1 home win over Hemingbrough who had taken the lead through Aide Wood.

Ouseburn, who failed to win any of their first three games of the season, claimed the Reserve 'D' title in their maiden season.

They won the key game at York RI with Alistair Ramsey hitting a hat-trick in the 3-1 win. Dave Clark scored for York RI.

Norwich Union went down 5-1 at Stillington, where Martin Cook, Andy Cuthbert, David McCafferty (2) and Jamie Metcalfe were on target for the hosts. Union's sole goal came from Mike Richardson.
