IN response to the letter from Simon Wiles of City of York Council (April 12) - thanks, you explained what I needed to know. But £55,000 is still excessive considering that the York Racecourse Committee's contribution is zero and they stand to benefit the most out of this invasion.
More than likely their net profit will be quite substantial even after deductions. I assume that when they reveal their gain - if ever they do - you as financial director will be sending them a bill for £55,000 plus a further invoice for cleaning up the mess those "Hooray Henrys" will leave behind.
