YOUR article about Tesco and its rise to the top made interesting reading (April 13). Pre-tax profits of £2.03 billion, a record for a UK supermarket and an increase of 20.5 per cent on last year.
It also made very good reading in the Independent newspaper when they stated that the average salary of a Tesco employee is £26,558.
As an average employee I can honestly knock £12,000 off that figure - even with benefits. Does that make all the hardworking average employees below average?
