WHAT a difference a day makes. Twenty-four hours earlier Billy McEwan tells the York City faithful he is going to take City up and put 6,000 bums on seats at KitKat Crescent.

I did chuckle to myself when I read the article in the Evening Press.

Now it seems the penny has dropped. Billy finally realises that without massive investment the club will only get worse.

As for the prospect of moving to a 10,000 seat state of the art stadium in nine years time - dream on. We will be lucky to be playing in the Northern Counties East League.

IT is nice to see York City are safe again after this season's battles.

I could see the difference new manager Billy McEwan made when I watched the two City matches televised on Sky.

The game against Halifax Town was a vast improvement all round on the display at Morecambe with everyone working hard.

The young goalkeeper David Stockdale is a promising prospect and I liked his clean handling and catching at Morecambe, so possibly he will get another chance.
