Holgate WMC 'B' wrapped up the York and District Table Tennis League division two title in style with a 9-1 win over Bootham CC 'B'.
Ed Wardman and John Flintoft were unbeaten for Holgate who could push some of the top teams next season.
Nestl Rowntree 'A' recovered from a bad start to finish second and have done well since the introduction of David Lamb. He was unbeaten again as Rowntree beat York RI 'D' 8-2.
Northern Electric's Phil Hall was undefeated as his side beat Poppleton 'D' 7-3. Pick of the Poppleton side was Matthew Ayres.
Howard Broadbent won all three for BT 'A' as they beat their 'B' team 7-3 in a match where the lights went out and the table had to be repositioned.
Champions Bootham CC 'A' beat Sessions 'A' 8-2 with Jon Wooldridge sweeping to three victories, including the scalp of Mick Wilcockson whom he beat 6-11, 11-5, 9-11, 11-5, 12-10.
Wilcockson was also demolished 11-7, 11-3, 7-11, 11-7 by Paul Eastwood.
The runners-up place went to Holgate WMC 'A', who beat Groves WMC 'A' 8-2 with John Farmery and Graham Hatfield each winning three.
Coneysthorpe 'A' missed out on second spot when they dropped points to Groves WMC 'B' and were then pushed all the way by York RI 'A' before winning 6-4. Martin Lowe was unbeaten in both matches.
Poppleton 'A', who finished fourth, could challenge for top spot next season if their players are available. They beat York RI 'B' 8-2 with Richard Moss leading the way with three wins.
Bootham CC 'C' need two points from their last match to win division three after edging out Shepherds 'A' 6-4.
Second-placed Coneysthorpe 'B' beat York RI 'F' 6-4 with Malcolm Haswell playing well for three Coneysthorpe victories.
Simon Prins was unbeaten for Holgate WMC 'C' in a 7-3 win over Norwich Union 'A' but Holgate need to win their last two matches 10-0 to have any chance of being runners-up.
Holgate WMC 'D' thumped struggling Shepherds 'C' 9-1 thanks to three wins each from Colin Dickson and Steve Wands.
Groves WMC 'D' won division four despite losing 6-4 to Sessions 'C', whose John Stokes won all three.
Tom Wright and Jon Soanes each won three times as Poppleton 'F' beat York RI 'H' 8-2.
