MINSTERMEN fans are being asked to dig out their paint brushes to give KitKat Crescent a close-season makeover.
A lack of maintenance at both the home ground and the Wigginton Road training complex has taken its toll, prompting plans for a co-ordinated summer effort led by manager Billy McEwan and the Supporters' Trust.
City finance director Terry Doyle said: "We need to get the ground looking ship-shape once again. The impact on arrival at a ground that looks well cared for rather than shabby is enormous and hopefully will give the right impression when we try to attract new players."
Volunteers are being sought to paint the ground and help with general refurbishment.
All volunteers will receive a free ticket to a pre-season home game of their choice. Fans who want to help should ring 0870 777 1992.
