I AGREE with Mr Lister; I have lived in Wilberfoss for 25 years and, in that time, traffic on the A1079 has increased dramatically and continues to do so at alarming levels.
At peak times it can take more than ten minutes to get on to the road when heading towards York.
This causes frustration and possible fatal errors of judgement.
I am in the fortunate position of not going to work so can avoid peak times.
But, even then, the speed of some vehicles is unbelievable, leading to more problems getting out of the village.
I have said many times that mini roundabouts or traffic lights at either end of the village would be a solution but, no doubt, the authorities and politicians will continue to consider the ratepayers of Wilberfoss do not warrant the cost of providing a solution to the problem.
