Beverley's first major prize of the Flat season can go to Cd Europe tomorrow.

Cd Europe, trained at Settrington by John Quinn, is fancied to win the £14,000 Flying Five Handicap.

The seven-year-old made a bright start to the season when finishing third to Cape Royal at Doncaster 12 days ago. He was beaten by less than two lengths after staying on strongly over five furlongs, the same distance he will run tomorrow.

Cd Europe is better known as a six-furlong racer, but he might get away with winning over the minimum trip on tomorrow's stiffer course.

He will certainly lack nothing in assistance from the saddle as York-based star jockey Robert Winston has been booked for the ride.

Winston will also be aboard Subtle Affair in the Racing Again Here Next Thursday Fillies' Handicap.

Trained at Newmarket by Mick Quinlan, the three-year-old failed to justify favouritism on her latest start at Lingfield. The Polytrack surface and the fact that she was too keen early on contributed to her downfall. She is certainly worth another chance.

At Newmarket, Michael Jarvis, who has made a bright start to the season, could have the answer to the 32Red.com European Free Handicap in my Nap selection Josh, the mount of Philip Robinson.

A dual-winner last season, Josh has the makings of a high-class horse and, although unproven over this seven furlongs I think he will cope with the longer trip.
