LEEPER Hare York and District League champions Dringhouses are still on course for the league and cup double after they booked their place in the Senior Cup final with a 2-0 win over Copmanthorpe.

A first half Graham Mitchell header gave Dringhouses the early advantage and the win was sealed with a Craig McShane penalty.

In the final they will meet Old Malton, who beat division one side Easingwold 4-0 with goals from Paul Scalings, Nicky Drew and two superb goals from Phil Hill.

In the Junior Cup, both the semi-finals were settled by 2-1 scorelines.

Division three side Tadcaster Albion beat division two promotion contenders Ouseburn.

Tadcaster scored in the first minute through Dave Wilson and added a second a minute later when Richard Hare slotted home.

Richard Dwight reduced the deficit on 61 minutes, but Tadcaster held out.

In the final they will meet Heslington, who beat Poppleton. Paul Clarke opened the scoring for Heslington on the stroke of half-time and Danny Walters made it 2-0 after 53 minutes.

An 84th minute free kick from Carl Shepherd made it 2-1 and set up a frantic finale which included Heslington missing a penalty.

Dringhouses will play Copmanthorpe in the Reserve League Cup Final. Copmanthorpe finally ended the giantkilling act of Poppleton, winning 4-1, with old warhorse Darren Starkey netting two.

Lee Atkinson and Paul Scurry completed the scoring for Copmanthorpe, while Tim Hudson hit Poppleton's lone response.

The last side to beat Old Malton were Dringhouses and history was repeated as Dringhouses booked their place in the final, winning 3-0 with goals from Grant Mclean, Gary Londesborough and Jamie Backhouse.
