DAYS before the third anniversary of the callous killing of York backpacker Caroline Stuttle, her murderer is sent back to prison as his appeal is thrown out.
It has been a tortuous three years for her family. They have faced every step of the gruelling journey with fortitude and dignity.
Now, mercifully, they have reached the end of the road. Ian Previte's conviction has been confirmed by an Australian court.
Caroline's grieving family can move on, while celebrating her life through charitable endeavours.
We wish them well.
