City of York Council prevents tourist decapitation! Pruning trees the "modern way" - with a York Tour bus top deck with shredding unit behind. I have never witnessed this procedure before. Have you?
The photograph, taken in South Bank on March 17, records two visits by Tree Pruning Ltd. I understand the bus and shredding unit were hired by City of York Council. The cost of long-handled pruning equipment is expensive, the cost of staff and vehicles involved unknown but this way was obviously more economical.
It is different and, possibly, a brainwave. York Tour Bus, its staff and vehicles, could be employed throughout the land, raising revenue for the companies involved and the council while advertising the city.
