THORPE United reached the final of the York Mitchell Sports Football League Cup after winning a penalty shoot-out in the rearranged semi-final against Bishopthorpe White Rose.

Thorpe won 4-3 on penalties after the thrilling match had ended 3-3 after extra time.

Matty Dale, Stevie Hood, James Edmond netted for White Rose during the match, with Ben Yorke, Benjamin Pullam and Mark Dickinson on target for Thorpe, who will meet Pickering Town 'A' in the final at KitKat Crescent on April 26.

Stephen Watson led the way with four goals as Pickering Town 'A' ran riot against Dunnington in division one. Bradley Magson also scored a hat-trick, with Lyle King and Luke McLaron adding a brace apiece.

Watson's efforts were topped by Brooklyn's Matthew Reeves, who hit five against Copmanthorpe. Ryan Boyd, Kaine Wood and Ben Wainwright also netted as Brooklyn remained in contention for top spot. Joe Broughton got a sole reply.

Heworth moved up two places after beating Poppleton 'A' 3-2. George Middleton, Chris Wheatley and Lewis Ledgeway got their goals, Josh Hughes and Richard Kendall replying.

Easingwold Town 'A' beat bottom club Stamford Bridge with goals from Danny Green, Angus Taylor, Spencer Brown, Oliver Everard and Jordan Brown.

Alistair Cope (2), Alex Dus, Andrew Healey and Oliver Baxter were on target as Ulleskelf won at New Earswick in division two, Josh Bellwood replying.

Julian Taylor and Luke Wood scored for Strensall against Fulford but the latter won thanks to strikes from A Pape (2), N Myers (2) and A Black.

Wigginton Grasshoppers and Hamilton Panthers drew, Tom Derbyshire and Josh Mason scoring for Wiggy and Alex Brinton and Tom Medd for Panthers.

Division three leaders Tadcaster Albion and Pocklington Town played out a goalless draw, while Real Cliffe won the battle at the bottom against Pickering Town 'B' thanks to two goals from William Yarrow, Jake Harrison responding.

Huntington hit Easingwold for six, Dean Layton (2), Joseph Sawyer, Alan Beavis, Joe Davison and an own goal on target, Sean Dixon netting a consolation.
