YORK Schoolboys Under-11s enjoyed an unblemished 100 per cent record during their most successful North Tyneside Festival of Football.
A hat-trick of victories were racked up against strong local opponents North Tyneside, East Northumberland and Vale of White Horse.
The previously unbeaten hosts were despatched first when Alex Needham and Jamie Wilstrop goals secured a 2-0 victory.
Aaron Hudson and Jacob McCormick were also effective play makers while Conor Qualter and Sam Byram formed a strong defensive backbone.
A Sam Fowler effort secured a single goal triumph over East Northumberland .
The save of the tournament by George Wilson against Vale of White Horse then ensured York left without conceding a goal and Jacob Gore and Needham strikes ensured a 2-0 win.
The U11s play Wakefield in a league fixture on Saturday at York Sixth Form College.

York Schoolboys U12s entertain Barnsley on Saturday in the semi-final of the Michael Dale Trophy, which is a repeat of last year's tie.
