Into The Shadows, twice a winner on the Flat last season, can return to the glory trail at Catterick tomorrow.

Trained by Keith Reveley, the five-year-old, a hurdles winner at Newcastle over the winter, will be patnered by Norton-based apprentice Tom Eaves, who was seen to good effect when scoring on 9-2 shot Gem Bien at Southwell yesterday.

Into The Shadows returned to action at Musselburgh ten days ago and finished fourth to the potentially smart Swift Sailor in a messy race, which was run at a pedestrian gallop until a sprint developed over the final half-mile.

A more truly-run event would suit Into The Shadows, who relishes a strong gallop throughout. Hopefully, she will get that tomorrow and, if so, the nap selection is expected to take all the beating.

Malton jockey Paul Hanagan is worth watching out for aboard Ashes in the totesport Big Screen Is Here Handicap over five furlongs.

Karl Burke's filly is overdue a win, having finished in the frame in her last three starts, most recently at Musselburgh where she finished a creditable second over tomorrow's distance.

Greenwich Meantime will be a popular choice among punters in the 3rd May Is Ladies Night Handicap.

The five-year-old justified solid support to score at Doncaster last week and, as that success was gained in an apprentices' race, he escapes a penalty tomorrow. A follow-up looks on the cards for Lynda Ramsden's well-handicapped gelding.

Kentucky Express showed ability for Tim Easterby last season and it would come as no surprise to see the four-year-old open his winning account in the Toytop Maiden Stakes over six furlongs.

Easterby could also have a say in proceedings at Nottingham, where he saddles the progressive Princess Kiotto in the Letheby & Christopher Stable Staff Series Handicap.

It took some time for Princess Kiotto to find her feet, but she ended last season with a brace of wins and a creditable second place and she looks the type to continue progressing this term. Ted Durcan has the mount.

Mark Johnston saddles two runners in the Weatherbys Bank 'Further Flight' Stakes, which sets punters a poser.

On-form Darasim, winner of last year's Goodwood Cup, has the best credentials, but Winged d'Argent is improving fast and, having had the benefit of a recent outing at Kempton, Kevin Darley's mount could come out on top.

Richard Quinn could be another jockey set for a successful afternoon. He teams up with High Reach in the April Conditions Stakes and Terry Mills' sprinter would hardly need to improve much on his good second to Iffraaj at Kempton recently to go one better in this £10,000 dash.
