HAVING waited for four long years Hounds finally overcame their bogey side Marcia at Bishopthorpe in emphatic style to take their place in the Challenge Cup final.
Hounds' defence held firm in the early stages and Collier broke the deadlock in the first half. The second half belonged to the visitors as Collier bagged his second and further goals from Forrest, D Rhodes and an own goal secured a 5-0 victory for the league leaders to stay on course for a trophy double.
Thorpe United made it an all-Selby final on May 8, but only via a penalty shoot-out after their game at Nestl Flag ended goalless.
In a game of few chances for either side, Dyson and Garner were guilty of missing Flag's best and Dyson also missed the first penalty which made the difference as the rest were converted to give a 5-4 final scoreline.
