YORK race walker Paul Evennett has added another gold to his burgeoning collection after winning the 10-mile North of England AA Championships.
The builder recorded a time of 82 minutes 52 seconds over the hilly course near Marske, Cleveland, to claim first place in his first major outing of the outdoor season.
He said: "It was a good race and not a bad time considering it was a hard, hilly course, and it is still early in the season."
He has already bagged the North of England indoor 3km gold in February to add to his 20km regional title from last September.
Evennett will appear in a number of North of England races in the next few weeks as he gears up for the national championships in May.
