Ian Walker (Kerrs Angling) utilised his favourite method to deadly effect to top the sell-out second round of the Outwood Angling Centre series at the Willows.
Pegged on Goldrush 45, he blasted the peg with casters to draw quality silver fish up in the water where he set about them a foot deep with double caster on size 16 hook. At the whistle he had taken a splendid 54lb of ide and orfe to nearly 2lbs to score an easy win.
Runner-up was Leeds youngster Ben Fisk (Team Gem), who had 42lb 8oz of carp to 3lb from peg 53 on the same lake fishing shallow with maggots.

Dave Wright (Armley Angling) drew the same peg 20 that he won from last week at Poppleton Lakes and used his previous knowledge to good effect, scoring an easy win on identical tactics in the 30-pegger on Railway Lake.
Offering three red maggots just nine inches deep across to the island, he netted 67lb 8oz of carp to 4lb without introducing any loose feed.
Meanwhile, Steve Mazza from Leeds might be thinking of packing more spares before he sets out on his next match.
The commercial fishery expert was romping the Poppleton Lakes' match after two hours when he shattered his number five section playing a carp and bringing an abrupt end to his day.
His two-hour contest yielded an all-carp bag of 37-8-0 that was still good enough for third place in the 30-peg contest

Bernard Guy (Bob-Co) topped the 40-peg Bob-Co match fished on Cyprio and Match Lakes at the Carpvale complex.
Drawn on Cyprio peg one, he targeted the island with long pole and meat tempting 11 carp to 6lb at steady intervals for a winning 56lb 8oz.
Over on the Match Lake, Dave Armitage (Bob-Co) took second place from for peg 52. Fishing into open water with pellet and chopped worm, he netted bream and skimmers for 55lb 5oz.
