Janet Kitchen makes an excellent point about council literature in her recent letter. The council could take an initiative in electronic delivery by allowing households with internet connections to opt out of receiving paper copies at all.
An email reminder and a link to a web page would suffice. In fact, a well-designed web page would also allow those with visual impairment get easy access to the information too. The Evening Press could also take a lead. I have qualms about the amount of paper it produces.
People would pay for a complete facsimile of the Press available electronically. I should also be able to get an up-to-date, full Press even outside of York.
