In trumpeting the provision of additional car parking for the surgery in Fulford ('More parking for surgery" March 23), Andrew White of the Royal Masons Benevolent Institute omits to mention a key fact.
Which is, many existing on-street parking spaces will be lost as a result of the RMBI's proposals to create a new junction on to the A19 (incidentally, by bulldozing through a conservation area).
So the Fulford surgery gains some parking spaces while the rest of Fulford loses out. Progress? I don't think so. The loss of on-street parking will particularly affect church-goers attending Fulford Parish Church.
