JOCKEYS are normally on the small side yet the most prominent rider in Yorkshire was a touch larger, being taller than ten double-decker buses.
No ordinary horse was expected to bear the weight of this super-jockey, who was cleverly positioned on the White Horse at Kilburn. He was put there as part of a stunt to promote this summer's Royal Ascot meeting at York.
The White Horse at Kilburn has been used this way before, notably for a pro-hunting protest from the Countryside Alliance.
This latest large-scale addition of a rider indicated that Royal Ascot is galloping a little closer.
