An entrepreneur who owns engineering companies in South Yorkshire has bought up a car repair and servicing company in his old hometown of Selby.
Tony Simpson, Selby born and bred, owns rail and civil engineering companies in Maltby, South Yorkshire, but has now bought up Abbeyside Autocare in Bawtry Road, Selby, and renamed it A1 Autocare.
The new venture, will become a fast-fit centre, offering tyres, exhausts and other parts as well as car repair, MoT and servicing. A five figure sum has been set aside for new equipment.
At the moment, there are four staff, but the firm is hoping to employ another four mechanics plus two administrative staff.
