QUEEN Margaret's School broke new ground at the York and District Under-15 netball rally after lifting the trophy for the first time at that age group.
Their 'A' team won all five of their pool games and beat All Saints 6-4 in the semi-finals before going head-to-head with close rivals Joseph Rowntree in the final.
It was goal-for-goal until Queen Margaret's scored the winning goal in the dying seconds to win 5-4.
Queen Margaret's 'B' team won the 'B' tournament after going unbeaten through four group games, while Queen Margaret's 'C' team finished third.
The tournament was held at St Olave's School.
Netball is booming at Queen Margaret's at present. Their Under-12 side won the York tournament for the first time ever earlier this month.
Meanwhile, York mopped up two of the three trophies up for grabs in the final inter-area netball tournament at Stokesley.
The U16 and U19s both notched up their third victories of the season while the U14s finished second.
