Sally Sleightholme's hat-trick helped City of York Ladies to consolidate their mid-table North League position in a 3-2 win at Harrogate.
Although Harrogate scored first, Sleightholme soon gave York the advantage, first scoring from the penalty spot and then beating the Harrogate 'keeper in a one-on-one.
After Becky Raper crossed for Sleightholme to slide the ball in for her third goal, 'keeper Dawn Hopkins was secure as York defended solidly until Harrogate's late late consolation penalty corner goal.
In Yorkshire division four, City of York Ladies III lost 2-1 at fellow-strugglers Huddersfield.
Becky Copperthwaite scored York's goal while 'keeper Emma Rowley starred with a save from a penalty stroke.
Already division five champions, City of York Ladies IV signed off with a 12th straight win, 3-2 at home to Selby who were the last team to take points off York before the start of the winning run.
Heather Stafford gave York the lead from a penalty corner but, with a defence organised well by Angela Crossland, Selby pressed on the break, Kelly Forth equalising midway through the first-half.
Neat passing in the goal circle allowed Stafford to reply immediately to give York an interval lead before Emma Forth levelled again soon after half-time.
York were twice fortunate to avoid falling behind until a first goal of the season from Kay Mannifield edged them home.
Margi Charlson scored a hat-trick as Nestl Rowntree grabbed a 5-2 win over York Olympics in the Costcutter York and District Ladies Hockey League.
Olympics opened the scoring but Tracey Maddison created the chance for Sarah Thistleton to tip in the equaliser.
Olympics fought back but Rowntree 'keeper Elaine Robinson made some great saves and Charlson scored twice before half-time.
Olympics pulled a goal back but Charlson hit her third and a great individual run down the right by Vanessa Walker saw her fire in a brilliant fifth goal.
