WELL done Dave Flett for bringing back many great memories in the Saturday, March 12 edition of the Evening Press.
It has taken 50 years to interview the greatest character ever to play for York City. The interview with Arthur Bottom brought back all the wonderful memories of the great cup run that took York City into the semi-final of the FA Cup.
The long-standing issue of "we were robbed" was finally laid to rest by Arthur who states the ball did not "cross the line".
I saw Arthur score many great goals and wonder in awe what he would have done with the modern ball.
It was good to see Arthur as he is today. Perhaps Graham Bradbury could persuade him to return to Bootham Crescent for I know that many supporters today still remember the whole team as the all-time greats.

Cursed breed
IT is reported that some footballers use a hundred swear words during a match. It surprises me that footballers know a hundred words, of any sort.
