IT is difficult to enjoy Moby in quite the same way after seeing Eminem's cruel impression and "It's over, let go" put down.
The vegan bald one's right-on leanings were worthy of the parody but, lately, his music has taken most flak. With its memorable use of soul samples, Moby's career-defining Play became the soundtrack to every car advert and he produced a virtual carbon-copy with 18, but things have changed. Hotel is devoid of samples and Moby plays and - unfortunately - sings on just about every track without passion or character. Vocalist Laura Brown helps where she can, but destroys New Order's Temptation. Spiders is an annoying Bowie tribute and the rest are just too dull to mention. On this form it really is over.
