WHILE I am happy that York will be hosting this year's Royal Ascot meeting, I am dreading the traffic and disruption it will cause to city residents trying to get anywhere.
I shall be severely disrupted because I have exams during that week at York College, as do many other students.
With the college being so close to the racecourse it is obvious there will be delays and problems getting there.
To help with planning my way in to college, and that of others, is it possible for the council and First to get together and print some sort of leaflet advising which buses will be operating and any road closures?
Spare a thought for students. When you are stuck in traffic, at least you don't have to worry about how you are going to get to do important exams and whether you will be on time.
